Alan Ritchson Fight Update: No Charges Filed After Bodycam Footage Shows Self-Defense


Police have decided not to prosecute following a messy brawl that saw Hollywood star Alan Richson in a violent altercation with his neighbor Ronnie Taylor after body camera footage appeared to show an element of self-defence.

The incident occurred on March 22, 2026, when initial footage of the incident showed Taylor on the ground while Richson repeatedly threw high kicks. In a statement after the incident, the neighbor admitted that he pushed the star first, but said that Richson’s speed and repeated turns made him worry for the safety of other residents.

What did the Bodycam footage reveal?

New body footage, from Richson’s point of view, shows that before the scandal, actor “War Machine”. was only going about 22 mph when Taylor pulled in front of him and made contact. The footage was shared by TMZ TV and can be seen below:

Why were no charges filed?

TMZ was also able to obtain a statement from the Brentwood Police Department confirming that no charges are pending against either party. “After reviewing the available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities have determined that no criminal charges will be filed,” officials said. “Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be self-defense. Although a possible charge of reckless endangerment was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges. . . . With the consent of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed and no further action will be taken.”

The video showed Taylor walk up and push Ritchson off his bike, prompting the star to turn around and beat up the instigator, who claims Ritchson was unaware he was the driver.

The body camera footage, along with the closure of the case by authorities, will hopefully now allow Richson to return to his day job. Here’s hoping all of his future fights are fantastic.
