While I always love how I feel when I take the time to style an everyday outfit, most of the time…I just don’t have the brain space. In honor of our spring edition of “Fashion You Really Wear Week,” I decided to use one of my morning woes to help you out. I’ve rounded up 19 pieces you can think of as one-off outfits, things you can throw on quickly without needing to overdo it.

Basic dress with stylish details…

The trick is to make clothes look like a uniform: the details should be different. This one from Anthropologie has contrasting piping and buttons that cinch the waist. And since it’s midi length, it works on shorter frames. Pair with sandals and call it a day.

The dress I got for my wedding…

Brides, I just found a dress that makes it look like you put more thought into your dress than you actually did. This strapless style dress looks like a top and skirt and can be worn to anything from wedding photos to bridal showers. It also comes in black if you’re looking for an all-over option that’s appropriate for the office.

Utility suits with stylish enhancements…

This utility coverall is easy to put on because of its material. Instead of the usual denim or canvas, it is made of satin. You can use it with flats and a cold necklace raise

A less expensive version of a dress I already own…

It is not known to any of us that Bihi is the master of cheap alternative. I bought a very similar version of this dress from Reformation last year and was pleased to see that Quince made this style at a fraction of the cost with more color options. Between the ruffled sleeves and the lace trim, no embellishment is required. I like to wear my clothes with a a pair of fun earrings.

A two-parter with the energy of the main character…

The best way to think less about clothes: go for a two-piece set. So the hard work is already done for you. I see this now from the Reformation. It comes with a bubble bodice and a matching maxi skirt with a striped belt. Just add a kitten heel.

The sweater that continues to go viral…

Between its popularity among influencers and its appearance on CBK love storyThe J.Crew Rollneck Sweater is worth it. This is a sweater that you can wear all year round because it is made of cotton. Layer it over shorts and a tank or wear it with jeans. Since it comes in so many colors, you can really wear it on its own and still feel put together.

A t-shirt outfit that looks expensive…

Last year, our Senior Writer raved about a T-shirt dress from Staud, and ever since then I’ve been looking for a more affordable option. Fortunately, the Old Force started this tape. It has a vintage, comfortable silhouette (which is perfect for warmer days when you want to throw something on and go). It comes in short and tall lengths, sizes up to 4X, and comes in six colors.

A suit from a brand that is very low…

Although Spanx is popular for its underwear, I think it also has some fantastic lingerie pieces. The quality of materials and silhouettes are unmatched. This mock drapey jumpsuit looks so professional, but is so soft it feels like pajamas. It has four-way stretch, wide pockets and UPF protection.

A color block suit for casual days…

This is another version of Spanx that is more casual than the first. It’s perfect for the weekend, where you want to feel like you’re wearing a full dress that’s still flattering on the back (it’s perfect for travel). It has a pleated waist with four-way stretch and gives the impression that you are wearing a fitted ensemble. I love that it also comes in petite and tall lengths.

A dress that feels nothing…

Once again, Spanx understands how to feel good while wearing sweats. This AirEssentials dress is made from the brand’s cloud-like fabric. It’s long yet structured thanks to the tank style and gathered waist. Add a pair of heels and you’ll be ready for a conference or date night.

A one-piece that replaces jeans and a t-shirt…

One of my favorite trends this past spring and summer the revival of beaded necklaces. As someone whose uniform is jeans and a white t-shirt, this is an almost easy way to change up your look. This new style from Madewell is embroidered with oversized semi-precious beads. You can choose from cherry, peach, and brown versions, but I stick to cherry for spring and summer.

The bottom of the statement…

One of the easiest outfits of all time is a colorful button down paired with your favorite pair of jeans. This one from Madewell comes with a cute green kelly that will do all the talking for you. I would wear it with cream or white jeans to make it spring. I love that it has baggy sleeves and a drawstring waist. You can wear it on its own or open it with a top underneath.

A sail in a modern silhouette…

The turtleneck is all the rage right now. If you don’t want to spend a ton on trendy style, start with this option from Uniqlo. It’s equal parts structured and drapey, and it’s one of those pieces that makes the whole outfit. You can wear it with anything from athleisure to rugged denim.

Linen set from Gap…

To put it mildly, Gap has been killing it lately, especially when it comes to matching sets. If you’re new to wearing matching sets, this linen blend option from the brand is simple and easy to wear. You have to buy the boat top and straight leg pants separately, although they are great for mixing and matching other pieces. I wear the look with ballet flats or flat sneakers. Consider it a three piece outfit.

A sweater pre-lined for you…

No one talks about how the layered t-shirt/sweater trend is a little complicated. It sounds weird, but finding the right t-shirt to see under your sweater is harder than you might think. Zara solved this problem with this sweater, which has a contrast collar that makes the piece layered.

Some other two pieces of clothing in one…

I have written about the duffer dress trend and how it makes dressing for anything infinitely easier. In addition to these options, Gap and Moon River have affordable and versatile options. This Moon River version is a midi style that looks like a contrast skirt belt, while Gap is a mixed media version that looks like a V-neck T-shirt and skirt. Both are great options to keep on hand depending on your needs.
