It’s no secret that the revival of Old Power has been one of the best things for budget shoppers over the past couple of years. Between its collaboration with Anna Sui to its entry into event wear, the brand has a lot to offer. Whether you’re new to the retailer or a longtime fan, we’re sharing everything you need to buy for spring. And FYI, nothing is over $40.
Looking for more affordable yet stylish ways to update your wardrobe this spring? Here how to shop in Bihi How to shop for your body typeand the best spring clothes.
An oversized coat with a vintage feel…
This shirt is very versatile, you can wear it with pants or sports. We love the buttery yellow shade for spring (a color that’s everywhere, btw), but it comes in tons of other colors, too. It features a pouch pocket and ribbed cuffs and is made from Old Navy’s favorite SoSoft fabric.
A blouse that is designer…
This top collar button looks almost identical Henry Doen. It has a V-neckline with frills all over and we love that it’s loose without being too baggy. Pair it with denim for a casual but put together spring look.
Some linen pants you’ll always get…
Linen pants are some of our editor’s favorite clothes for spring and summer. They’re airy, light, and still make us feel like we’re wearing a full outfit (without the discomfort of denim shorts). This pair is made from a linen blend and even comes in petite and tall lengths. We’re looking at this brown polka dot pair.
Boat version of the best-selling t-shirt…
Our editor always saves Old Navy Snug Cut T-Shirt when he takes delivery from the seller. It’s a structured, buttery soft t-shirt that washes well, holds its shape, and is inexpensive. In the spring, they released this version of the boat, which is more important as a top for going out.
Some high waisted and wide leg jeans…
We have written about it extensively our love for Old Navy denim. This extra high-waisted and wide-leg bag style is perfect yet structured. Let this pastel pink pair do the talking by wearing it with a white tee and sandals.
A spring version of a denim jacket…
When it comes to flowers, we don’t like to leave too crazy This oversized cream denim jacket has muted flowers that are widely spaced, making it easy on the eye. To us, this style looks expensive and reminds us of pieces we see from Mother Denim at a fraction of the cost.
A sweater you can wear in summer…
There are so many ways you can wear this knit sweater. Buy it in your regular size and wear it with a top underneath, or go up a few sizes and use it as a cover-up. Either way, it will sell out quickly, so stock up while you can. We love its muted color options, from sky blue to rust.
A basic shift dress that you can dress up or down…
This is the little dress you’ll want to keep in your closet all year round. You can add heels as a casual wedding guest outfit or pair it with flats and a blazer for the office. And if you want to wear it in the colder months, you can add a layered turtleneck and socks underneath. The cost per wear of this $18 dress is literally non-existent.
A reliable cover for every situation…
We love having a printed midi dress on hand. They’re perfect for spring days when you don’t know what to wear but still want to feel put together. This fit-and-flare style comes in seven colors, sizes up to 4X, and petite and tall lengths. We wear our dress with kitten heels to cover it up.
The blue button down they would never guess is from Old Navy…
At Old Navy, we’ve found yet another revamp, this time for the brand Raylynn knit top. We love this one because it has the feel of a soft t-shirt but looks like a more substantial blouse. Since it’s under $20, we buy both the black version and the pastel one.
Activewear that doesn’t look like activewear…
Don’t forget to opt for Old Navy activewear. This bubble top is made of soft and stretchy sports material, but because of its modern silhouette, you can wear it with jeans and it won’t look like you picked the wrong item from your closet. It’s perfect for those weekend functions where you want to look stylish (but feel comfortable).
The basic cardigan, which is a wardrobe essential…
A button-up cardigan is a must-have for year-round wear, whether you prefer it as a top or embrace it as an emotional support layer. Made from Old Navy’s SoSoft material, it feels very similar to cashmere without the weight. Plus, it’s so cheap, you can keep it on your desk, in your car, or in your purse.
Another floral midi dress that looks a lot more expensive than it is…
We never thought we’d say it, but Old Navy is getting the flowers right this season. We’re in awe of how expensive this floral dress looks, between the tiny print and the plunging neckline. It looks like a mix between Reform and Doen, and that’s why we’re calling it now that it’s selling fast. Check it out while it’s available.
Mini skirt…
This is the piece we buy before summer when we know we’ll have decision fatigue (and heat) when it comes to dressing. This waist piece is actually a skort, so you can wear it and feel comfortable moving in it. Old Navy also makes a matching top that can turn the look into a matching ensemble. Both are made of soft gauze that is breathable.
A casual outfit you can wear to the office…
This goes for anyone looking for more tops that aren’t just plain t-shirts. This sleeveless option reminds us of the styles we’ve seen at Sezane. It comes in both gingham and lavender options, although we think the gingham version is a bit more roomy for everyday wear. Combine it with jeans or pants.
Our editor buys tank tops in bulk…
Once again, Old Navy’s Snug Cropped collection is one you won’t want to miss. In addition to always being on sale, these styles are made from a thick yarn material that holds its shape. Our editor also loves this version of the tank top on hot days, and she even wears them with a sports bra for long walks or workouts. The price of 10 dollars is worthless.
