Kamal Elgarny says he may part ways with Andrew Jackd over the manager’s salary dispute

In episode 285 threat podcast, bodybuilder and trainer Kamal Elgarny was a special guest, joining hosts Dennis James, Milos Sarcev and Jose Raymond. And, during the show, Kamal made the shocking revelation that he may no longer be coaching Andrew Jacked and aired his displeasure with their current financial arrangement.

Kamal Elgarny was the champion of 212 in the Olympia (2019) and Arnold (2018) and the winner of the 2023 Masters Olympics in the Open division. Last year, Kamal joined forces with Andrew Jackd and they took the bodybuilding world by storm, no less. AJ recently won the industry’s biggest prize of $750,000 at the Arnold USA.., and earned another $250,000 after his win at the British Arnold. With an exciting run to the Mr. Olympia 2026 finals seemingly upon them, The Menace wanted to know more about their preparations, but this led to an unexpected revelation.

Kamal Elgarny reveals potential split with Andrew Jackd

“What are your plans for this year’s Olympics?” Denis James asked Kamal. “Well, man, I honestly don’t know,” replied the coach, apparently uncomfortable with the question. “Honestly, I don’t think… I’m not going to work with him anymore,” he said, grabbing the TMP panel completely off guard. James dug deeper. “What happened?” he asked.

Kamal wasn’t sure if he should spill all the details on the podcast, but he did give a few answers. “There is a misunderstanding,” he began. “Well, to tell you the truth, I didn’t get paid for what I did for him,” he declared, and now decided to explain the incident in detail from his point of view. Kamal explained that he was working with Andrew Jackd from the 2025 Olympics and he understood that it was a financial deal. After the Olympics, where Andrew Jacked entered the top three, and the Romanian Pro, where he won, Kamal says they didn’t discuss the money and that’s where the confusion comes from.

What Kamal said about coach Andrew Jackd

While Andrew Jacked showed his appreciation with an initial gesture of $3,000, Kamal and his wife scoffed that it didn’t represent the value of the coaching services he received. “If you’re going to give me something, give me what I’m worth,” he said.deputy explained that the cost of traveling and being away from home meant that his services were very valuable.

Kamal says that when they arrived at the airport for Arnold’s flight to the UK in March, things got worse for him. “So, he checked himself in business class and checked me in economy class,” said Kamal. “And it’s like someone stabbed me in the back.” The coach says that in response, AJ told his coach that he was automatically upgraded because he was a frequent flyer. But the next day, Kamal says that the work with his client has escalated. Kamal told the panel that he expressed his feelings of disrespect and threatened to end the partnership while he was in the UK.

A week later, Kamal says Jacked sent home a Rolex, but he wasn’t happy with that either. “I said I don’t need a Rolex.” Jackd then offered to pay another $5,000 to take them to the 2026 Olympics, the coach said. Still feeling slighted, Kamal tells AJ that he wants 5% of the prize money instead, leading to a stalemate. Kamal says he became more angry when Jacked told reporters that he would donate his prize money to charity. “What charity are you going to donate this money to?” he asked the panel.

Bringing up the balance, Denis James noted that the confusion may have arisen because Kamal initially stated that he did not want the money. “That person thinks they don’t want money,” he said. “Especially with bodybuilders these days, you have to be clear before you start anything.” The businessman felt that 5% was “cheap” and “fair”.

Viewer comments on YouTube largely agreed with Jaime’s point of view, feeling that the financial structure should have been addressed from the start. Milos Sarchev added that since he was in similar situations trying to get paid for his coaching services, he now “clarifies” everything in writing before starting work.
