The term “seed oil” has recently become a negative term in the natural/organic food industry.
The term seems to have originated in 2018 and then became popular in 2020 after Joe Rogan’s show with Paul Saladino. (Source.)
The term became even more popular last year, in 2025, when HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy made it part of the slogan “Make America Healthy Again.”
Until recently, most Americans had never heard the term “seed oil,” even though they had probably been cooking and consuming them for decades.
It’s an interesting description given by internet influencers, health gurus, and some politicians to popular cooking oils—think canola, soybean, and corn—that have long been staples in many home kitchens.
Those ardent critics refer to refined vegetable oils as the “hateful eight” and claim they increase inflammation and higher rates of chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the new health secretary, said Americans were being “unknowingly poisoned” by seed oil and urged fast-food restaurants to switch back to using ghee or animal fat.
What is seed oil?
Simply put, they are oils extracted from plant seeds. They include eight crops commonly targeted by critics: canola, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, soybeans, sunflower, safflower and rice. (Source.)
I totally agree with them.”eight is usually the target“seed oil”rapeseed, corn, cottonseed, grapes, soybeans, sunflower, safflower and rice” as highly toxic and unhealthy.
These saturated fats have only been in the human food chain for a short time, since World War II, when we developed expeller technology to extract oil from crops that had never worked before. They are not shelf stable and need to be processed, which causes many health problems.
But to say that these toxic fats should only be replaced with animal fats such as beef is very short-sighted, as there are many seed oils that are used to extract edible oil and have fed people for thousands of years, as I will highlight in the rest of this article.
And while animal fats, such as lard and tallow, have also been used for thousands of years to feed the population, the quality of these fats must be considered in relation to animal husbandry.
If these fats are obtained from animals raised in CAFOs (limited feed operations), where the animals never graze on grass and only eat animal feed that consists of the same seed “seed oils” in the “dirty eight” that have been condemned and are mostly GMOs full of herbicides and pesticides (corn and soy are the main ingredients in most animal feed), how healthy is the fat from these animals?
A much better alternative to animal fats from the American agricultural system are the “super seed” oils, which are not only safer and have been feeding populations for thousands of years, but also promote your health and help your immune system fight disease, as the father of the Hippocratic Oath said:Let food be your medicine.”
Super seed oil
Coconut oil

Coconuts are seeds. Coconut trees grow from coconuts planted in the ground.

I have spent nearly 30 years educating the public about the health benefits of coconut oil after living in the Philippines for many years. I have a website CoconutOil.comwhere you can review everything peer research shows how healthy coconut oil is.
When we hit the market in 2002 with the first “coconut oil” imported into the US from the Philippines, there were no stores in the US that sold coconut oil because the US government has been lying to the American people for years, even to this day, telling them that coconut oil is bad for them.
I decided to tell Americans the truth of reality through the new medium of communication then called the Internet, and today you can walk into any chain grocery store and buy coconut oil.
Welcome to America. I was so proud to bring you this truth that I almost lost my life.
Black cumin seed oil
The Muslim Prophet was quoted as saying that the black seed and its oil are from “there is a cure for everything except death“. This is not a dietary fat that is popular in the US, but it is in the Middle East and I sell it in my storefrom Turkey, the country where I lived for many years of my young life.
Search for “Black Seed Oil” on Health Impact News will happen more than 60 research articles about the health benefits of this “seed oil”.
Virgin palm oil
Virgin oil, also known as “Red Palm Oil”, comes from the palm nut, which is also the seed that grows into a palm tree if planted.
It probably has the highest concentration of antioxidants of any vegetable oil, including the complete spectrum of carotenes (precursors of vitamin A) and tocotrienols (vitamin E).
Palm oil is the most consumed dietary oil in the world, outside of the US, where soybean oil is #1, although most of the palm oil consumed is not red palm oil, but the refined version.
Palm oil has gotten a bad press in modern times due to the destruction of rainforests in Sumatra to plant palm fruit trees. But palm fruit trees do not exist in Southeast Asia, where they mostly grow only in huge plantations that require a constant supply of herbicides and pesticides to keep growing.
It is native to the tropical regions of Africa, where they still consume it in its natural, unprocessed red form. The taste is strong and the red oil can stain the fabric, so it is not very popular in the US, among the African population and those who adopt exotic, tropical birds that like it.
read the history of palm oil here.
We are our own source Palm oil from Africatherefore, it is not disturbed in its collection and production in the rain forests.
Olive oil
Since olive oil is positively known in the US, the new leaders of “seed oil” were forced to call the olive a “fruit” and try to condemn all seed oils in favor of animal fats.
But guess what happens when you plant olives? It grows on an olive tree. That makes it “eggs” with my definition of “eggs”.
If you are looking for PubMed for “olive oil cancer” you get more than 1400 results and they are not all related to cancer, but also include autism, muscle health and many diseases that olive oil can fight.
It’s actually a “super seed oil” and if it’s “virgin” olive oil, it’s so rich in antioxidants that it’s perfectly fine to cook with, countering a common myth among Americans that olive oil should never be used for cooking.
The problem with this myth is that the Italians have been doing this for thousands of years. See:
Myth Buster: Olive oil is one of the safest oils for cooking and baking
Conclusion: “Super Seed Oils” are the healthiest
It takes some effort to incorporate these “super seed oils” into your diet, as most of them have a negative reputation in the US.
But it’s worth it, and if you can include them in your diet by replacing the toxic fats, your life can change dramatically.
I know I have.
