What if one moment changed everything?
A rare spiritual blessing is coming to New York – and it might just be what your heart has been waiting for.
We live in a time of constant movement. Even when we pause, we are not truly at rest. . . the notifications, the to-do lists, the quiet anger that we need to do more, feel more, to be more – it’s all in the background.
But often something calls us to open up to new possibilities.
“I think there are certain moments that happen to us that are like an explosion … something happens and you can’t come back.”
– Cheryl Strayed
In August 9for the first time in New York, a spiritual event called Darshan will be held at Riverside Church. And if you’ve never heard of Darshan or Paramahamsa Vishvananda, that’s okay. It may still be for you.
So what is Darshan?
In Sanskrit, Darshan means “divine look”. But more than that, it’s the moment you’re seen—not for your resume or your role in the world, but for who you really are underneath it all. During the Darshan, the spiritual master Paramahamsa Vishvananda looks directly into your eyes. People describe it as conveying unconditional love. Some feel. Some feel relaxed. Some feel something they can’t quite explain – just that… something is changing.
You don’t need to be on a spiritual path to receive it. You don’t have to be religious or practice meditation or be “prepared”. You just have to show up.
“When I look into your soul in that moment, what I see is your true Self…the beauty of what is within you. That is what I want you to see and understand for yourself.”
— Paramahamsa Vishvananda
Why is this important in a city like New York?
Paramahamsa Vishwananda is a spiritual teacher with a large following in Europe and Great Britain. He is the founder of Bhakti Marga and his teachings are focused on helping people experience divine love in their daily lives. His main temple in the USA, Bhakti Marga Americais based in Elmira, New York, but he is largely unknown in the US
Bringing Darshan to New York is a real moment. In a place known for speed, intensity and sensory overload, this is a rare opportunity to experience peace, connection and something ancient. Something that feels like it was meant for you.

What does the event include?
An event is truly more than a moment—it’s an entire experience. The Darshan Festival consists of:
- Life to kill (dedicated music)
- Soft tissue workshops
- Talks about love, presence and soul connection
- Vegan food
- Conscious market
- And of course, the opportunity to have Darshan of Paramahamsa Vishwananda
You don’t have to “believe” anything. Just bring yourself as you are.
What people experience
Those who have had Darshan before describe it as…
- Feeling totally taken
- Letting go of old emotional pain
- A sense of physical healing or inner peace
- A renewed sense of purpose
- Or just the feeling of something clicking, even if they don’t have a word for it
So maybe it’s not about explosions or fireworks. . . It’s about something quieter. But just as deep.
If your soul is whispering there is more– This may be your moment to say yes.
