And if you call Him as a Father who judges impartially according to everyone’s deeds, walk in fear in all the world.it is the time of your captivityfor you know that you have been redeemed from the vain ways inherited from your fathers. (1 Peter 1:17-18)

A true believer in Jesus Christ who follows the narrow path of Truth and finds himself constantly on the wrong path traveled by the rest of the people on this planet is a member of Hodos.
“Hodos” is a Greek word meaning “way” or “way,” and it is the term by which New Testament believers identified themselves as a group. It is based on Jesus’ own words in John 14:6:
Jesus said to him:i roadand truth and life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This “road” (Hodos) is the road less traveled because it is the harder road.
Enter through the narrow gate. Because the gate is wide and road it is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter into it are many.
Because the gate is narrow and road it is difficult that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (Matthew 7:13-14)
For more information on “Hodos” see:
Hodos: The Way of Christ – only one way, no detours
Those in Hodos are considered “strangers” and “strangers” on earth, as we live in exile, waiting to return to our true home in the Kingdom of God, where our future inheritance awaits us.
Last month I published a full article on this topic from the book of Hebrews in the Bible:
True believers in Jesus Christ are strangers and aliens on the earth – The nation of Israel is not the promised land
What has replaced Hodos in modern American culture is “Christianity,” a perversion of Hodos and a dangerous cult.
The distinction between the two is very easy because Christianity is the dominant group in America and in no way shapes or forms the “narrow way” that follows the Truth and Jesus Christ.
Christianity is the easy way, but the way it leads to destruction.
We are seeing it in real time today as Christians support a war with Iran that is causing massive death and destruction in the world and will soon wreak havoc in the US as well. See:
US military officers revealed the real reason for Trump’s bombing: Fulfillment of the Zionist evangelical prophecy and the beginning of “Armageddon”
True Hodos believers follow the narrow and difficult path of Jesus and do not support the killing of people of other nations. They take the word of Jesus Christ literally, which is to go out and “make disciples of all nations” and teach them the way (Hodos) of Christ.
And Jesus came and said to them: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. make all peoples disciplesand baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I will teach them to observe everything that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am always with you until the end of time.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
The early believers who obeyed this command paid a heavy price for doing so, as they went against the crowd in search of the Truth.
They were expelled from the churches (synagogues), many were imprisoned and some were executed.
They knew that this world was not their home.
I started studying Peter’s first letter in the New Testament this week, and Peter was a true believer in Jesus and a member of the Hodus. He was imprisoned more than once and the Jewish authorities tried to kill him.
Here is what he wrote in the first chapter of 1 Peter:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
According to his great mercy, he caused us to be born to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. an inheritance that is imperishable, unblemished, and unfading, is reserved for you in heavenwho are protected by the power of God through faith, until the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
You will be glad of it, although now a little, if necessary, You are overwhelmed by various trialsso that the tested truth of your faith – more precious than the gold that perishes when tested by fire – will lead to praise, glory and honor in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Even though you haven’t met him, you love him. Although you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, and you receive the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Therefore, prepare your mind for action and be alert, put your hope fully in the grace that will be given to you at the appearance of Jesus Christ.
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the lusts of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, so be you holy in all your conduct, for it is written:
“You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
And if you call him as A father who judges impartially according to each man’s deeds, act in fear at all times your exilefor you know that you were redeemed from the vain ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things like silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like the blood of a spotless and spotless lamb.
He was known before the foundation of the world, but in the last days he appeared because of you who believed in God through him, and he raised him from the dead and glorified him. so that your faith and hope is in God. (1 Peter chapter 1)
The Greek word in the original texts for what is here translated into English as “exile” is παροικία (paroikia), which means. temporary residence in a foreign land.
This word is used only once in the New Testament, in Acts 13:17:
The God of the children of Israel chose our fathers, and made the people proud when they strangers lived in the land of Egypt and brought them out of it with a raised arm. (Acts 13:17 – KJV)
The Israelites lived in Egypt for more than 400 years, but they always saw their sojourn there as strangers and foreigners as temporary until they could go to their homeland, the “promised land”.
However, for those of us living in this day and age of the New Testament era, we know that the “promised land” is not on earth, nor is the inheritance of true believers first promised to Abraham on this earth.
Christians who are false believers want to seek the glory of world empires that are all controlled by Satan, such as the nation of Israel and the United States of America, instead of going against the crowd to follow the Truth and suffer for it.
The closer you get to the Truth and the narrower your path becomes, the clearer your choices become, the more you risk losing EVERYTHING this world has to offer, including your family, “friends” and worldly possessions, even your earthly “home”.
And the only reason anyone does this is because they believe in the word of God and are patient to endure suffering and persecution because they know that our inheritance is not on earth but in the Kingdom of God and also our permanent home.
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth, to love your brothers sincerely, love one another with all your heart.
“For ye are born again, not of perishable seed, but of incorruptible seed, through the living and lasting word of God.
for,
“All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass fades and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.”
And this is the word that was preached to you. (1 Peter 1:22-25)
