Pharmacist Pfizer and the French vaccine company Valneva said their vaccine, called LB6V, worked more than 70 percent of the time in a clinical trial to prevent Lyme disease in people age 5 and older.
The companies also said the vaccine was well tolerated and no safety concerns were identified.

Pfizer said the vaccine has shown clear benefits.
The trial took longer than expected because the pre-determined statistical goal was not met in the first term.
