Test results…

  • Body cream with nutrients. i had written about this miracle body lotion many times agoand my obsession has not abated. Over the past year, I have collected almost all of the fragrances and each one is powerful, long-lasting and very sophisticated with all the complexity and subtlety of a great perfume. I make them seasonal (sunny-citrus Naked neroli for summer, smoke-sexy Red Crescent for winter etc.). But as a lover of fragrant flowers, to Rosa Bid is my hall of fame. It smells like a real rose – earthy, green, with a hint of citrus that keeps it fresh. I love the smooth, soft consistency that blends effortlessly and keeps my dry skin looking great all day.

  • Sensitive body wash. I mainly like this body wash for the smell. It’s beautifully layered with Rose Bud lotion to enhance the scent and really make it stick. As an actual body wash, it’s perfectly fine. It doesn’t lather like I prefer, but it does leave my skin feeling moisturized rather than stripped and tight. I don’t always reach for it, really, when I want something more luxurious than Dr. Bronner’s.

  • Rose Bud Roll-On Perfume Oil. Told you I was obsessed with this scent. This concentrated perfume oil in a roll-on is so beautiful. Here, the scent of Rose Bud is even deeper and sexier thanks to the addition of hemp and pink pepper. If you’re familiar, it smells exactly like Diptyque Eau Rose – my signature scent for many years – but it’s a fraction of the price. My only problem here is the car. The rollerball rolls so smoothly that you have to rub it on your skin to get it out.

  • Lactic Acid Foaming Body Polish and Wash. This has a creamy base with a very finely ground physical exfoliant (it’s microcrystalline cellulose and volcanic pumice), so it’s harder than scrubs with larger grains of sugar or salt. It also has lactic acid and a double dose of exfoliants to make my skin feel so smooth. I use it as a targeted treatment for things like keratosis pilaris, ingrown hairs, sunburned skin (the culprit) or as part of a shower once a week. I love that it lathers and it makes me feel like I’m getting a thorough clean. You don’t need to use your regular body wash in addition. One thing to note: it’s not a fragrance, so if you’re in the Cyklar game for fragrances, you can skip it.

  • Self-regulating milk essence. As a proud pale girl, I tend to be afraid of the self-conscious. But it really works for me. I only use it on my feet and it blends easily, doesn’t streak, and dries quickly. It also doesn’t transfer to clothing or bedding, so I wouldn’t stress about wearing clothes after application. What’s great is that it doesn’t read orange or muddy – it just leaves my skin a shade or two tan and it’s very natural. It lasts about a week. It has a hint of a chemically self-tanning smell, but it’s not as bad as others I’ve tried.

Sides…

  • Cyklar was founded in 2023 by Klaudia Sulewski, one of the OG YouTubers that I really just discovered. In my opinion, it has far surpassed the status of a “famous brand” – the products are effective and high quality enough to stand on their own.

  • For a relatively new brand, Cyklar has an impressive range of products. Some others I am curious to try: the Lightening body oil, Exfoliation barand loving temperament Deodorant gelformulated with brightening mandelic acid.
