Joseph Baena, 28-year-old son bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzeneggerhas proven to be a chip from Austria, winning during his bodybuilding debut.
Baena, who is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mildred Baena, turned March 24, 2026, with an Instagram post which, along with the caption: “You’ve got to hit the muscles!”, which revealed his toned body, is an homage to the classic 1977 docudrama Dad. Iron pumping. The actor and fitness model then entered the NPC Natural Colorado State Championships on March 28 and made dad proud.

“Mission Accomplished!” Baena wrote as he celebrated impressive titles in his first competitive bodybuilding competition in the following categories:
- Men’s Open Bodybuilding Heavyweight Class
- Men’s Classic Chip true sketch
- Men’s Classic Physique Sketch
Baena also placed second in the Men’s Classic Physique Open Class C.
The young bodybuilder explained that his diet consisted mainly of “peas, rice and everything good” while preparing for the competition, adding that chicken and beef were his sources of protein. “I’ve learned that consistency is really the key to getting lean and not losing muscle,” he says.

While the “Terminator” star could not participate in the show in Colorado and support the debut of his generation, due to a small issue of being in England at the British Arnold, the seven-time Mr. Olympia, who won the first Mr. Universe at the age of 20, should be extremely proud of Baena. The boy sure did a good job and the bodybuilding elite were quick to add their well wishes. “So great!” commented Phil Heath, who is also a seven-time Mr. Olympia winner. “Well done,” Lee Priest added. “Congratulations,” suggested Wesley Visers. What a way to start competitive bodybuilding!
