Parkinson’s disease is a neurological disease that has increased in modern times and is similar to Alzheimer’s disease.

Research has linked Parkinson’s disease to the increased use of statin drugs, which artificially lower cholesterol.

Here are some articles that have been published here in the past Health Impact News on this topic:

Study: Cholesterol-lowering statin drugs may cause Parkinson’s disease

Study: Use of statin cholesterol-lowering drugs linked to increased risk of Parkinson’s disease

The herbicide glyphosate has also been linked to Parkinson’s disease. See:

Cyclic herbicides linked to Parkinson’s-related brain damage

Staying away from cholesterol-lowering drugs and limiting exposure to the poison glyphosate in their diet can go a long way in preventing Parkinson’s disease.

For those who already suffer from Parkinson’s disease, coconut oil is a natural remedy that can help people with the disease, which has been known for over a year and a half, and studies are being published on how effective coconut oil can be for people with Parkinson’s disease.

Here are some recently published studies on Parkinson’s disease and coconut oil:

Abstract

The purpose of the review: This review examines the potential role of coconut-derived dietary supplements in influencing Parkinson’s disease risk and Parkinson’s disease progression by modulating oxidative stress and mitochondrial function. Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by dopaminergic neuron death, mitochondrial damage, and increased oxidative stress. Nutritional approaches have gained attention as additional therapeutic strategies.

Recent findings: Natural coconut products, including coconut oil, coconut milk, coconut water, and coconut kernels, are rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and other important minerals that may have neuroprotective effects. In addition, evidence suggests an inverse relationship between coconut consumption and the prevalence of PD. Therefore, nutrients derived from coconut products are natural neuroprotective agents for the prevention and management of PD. Further studies should focus more on clinical trials to confirm the effectiveness of coconut supplements and explain the main neuroprotective effects of these supplements in the management of PD.

Abstract

Neurodegenerative disease (ND) is a clinical condition in which neurons degenerate, resulting in damage to the brain. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most progressive disease after Alzheimer’s disease that affects the motor system and is characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons from the nigrostriatal pathway in the midbrain, which leads to bradykinesia, rigidity, rest tremor, postural instability and symptoms of mental instability, mental instability, instability. autonomic failure, sleep problems and pain syndrome.

Coconut oil (CO) is an edible oil obtained from the flesh of the fruit of Cocos nucifera, which belongs to the palm family, and contains 92% polyunsaturated fatty acids. CO has been shown in various in vitro and in vivo models as a multi-target bioagent to mediate oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, apoptosis, and excitotoxic effects in PD. Dietary CO intake has also been linked to a reduced incidence of PD in humans.

During digestion, CO is broken down into smaller molecules such as ketone bodies (KBs). CBs then enter the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and are used as an energy source, the ability to cross the BBB has made this an important class of natural remedies for the treatment of ND.

The current review describes the potential neuroprotective mechanisms of CO in PD, either prophylactically or therapeutically. In addition, we briefly reviewed important pathogenic pathways that could be considered to investigate the potential use of CO in neurodegeneration such as AD and PD.

Here are some testimonials from Parkinson’s patients that we have published in the past.

I’ve been writing about it for 24 years and teaching people how good coconut oil is for neurological diseases and how dangerous statin drugs are along with vaccines (especially the COVID vaccines) and contamination of our food with glyphosate for neurological health.

And now that I’m older myself, I realize that I need to increase my coconut oil intake not only for neurological health, but for many other reasons.
