Scholarships will be recognized at NUTRITION 2026, July 25-28 in National Harbor, MD
The American Society for Nutrition (ASN) is proud to announce the 2026 ASN Nutrition Excellence Awards (FASN), recognizing 69 outstanding members for their continued contributions to the field and sustained involvement in the nutrition community.
This recognition program honors outstanding nutrition professionals who have completed 10 or more of their most recent degrees and have been an ASN Scientist, Clinician or Professional member for five years or more. Fellows have demonstrated significant impact in their career paths as well as meaningful service to the Society. To reflect the diversity of the field, the selection criteria for career trajectories were research-oriented, translational, and collaborative.
The FASN designation is a mark of excellence in nutrition that demonstrates recipients’ contributions to the advancement of nutrition science and practice, as well as their commitment to the highest standards of the profession.
“One of my priorities as president of ASN has been to support the professional development and career advancement of our members throughout the nutrition workforce,” said Naima Mustaid-Moussa, PhD, DFASN, FTOS, FAHA, FNAI. “This year’s Nutrition Excellence Fellows represent a remarkable group of leaders whose contributions to research, clinical care, education, policy and leadership continue to strengthen and advance the field of nutrition. ASN is proud of their achievements and service to the Society.”
