As I wrote before, I am that angry person who sleeps only in pajamas. In addition to making me feel put together, there’s something about it that signals my brain that it’s time to rest and sleep. Because of this, I’ve tried almost every brand you can think of. These are the ones I think are really worth the money and wash well.

Home pants I want in every color…

Never overlook a good pair of pajama pants. This versatile pair from Free People is made from soft cotton. They are in a pull-on style, with a drawstring waist, so they are comfortable. But my favorite detail is the gathered joints, which means they don’t come up when the covers are put on.

A waffle set that is a steal…

A few weeks ago The t-shirt in this set was sold for $8so I quickly got to work. I love that this waffle set is short sleeved, so it keeps you warm without overheating. The shorts have wide pockets with an elastic and drawstring waist and the top is so simple yet stylish, you can wear it with jeans.

And an old seafood shop…

Understandably, if spending at least $100 on pajamas isn’t in the cards. A basic PSA: The old force has basically a series of dupes for Cozylandincluding this romper. While the material is a blend of polyester and spandex, it is soft and very similar. This is another solid option if you get hot at night.

The ultimate classic pajama set…

Whenever I wear my Petite Plume pajamas, I feel the most pampered. The brand was founded by a former CIA officer who wanted to create a pajama line made without harsh chemicals. These are some of the softest things I own and while they are pricey, they are worth every penny. With each wash, they do not shrink or change randomly. Instead, they became softer. These would make a great gift for just about anyone. PS: Prince George is also a fan.

An underrated brand…

Justice for PJ Salvage. They are one of my go-to brands for pajamas and sleepwear and they don’t get the love they deserve. In addition to having a more interesting collection of prints (these are the pajamas you only wear at home), they don’t require multiple washes to feel soft and comfortable, and they’re lightweight and warm at the same time. My collection is a boxer style with long sleeves.

The incredible collection you will have when you leave home in…

Some pajama sets are too much pajama, so you can’t run errands, take out the trash, or go to the mailbox. Pajama Lake is a durable option for sleep, relaxation and quick work. Between the collarless silhouette, basic cuts and muted tones, they’re a great casual wear with breathable fabrics.

A print set for sleepers who work too hot…

If you’re going to overheat regardless of the season, I’d go for a tank set. Roller Rabbit is one of those crazy pajama brands that I was originally skeptical about, but after months of testing, I can confirm that the department is worth it. It’s made of soft pima cotton that won’t chafe or irritate, and yet the brand has managed to minimize seams and make them comfortable. This tank set comes with matching shorts and features the brand’s classic heart print.

The best pajamas for heavy period…

Although I swear by the pajama set, I definitely skip it during my period. Instead, I swap it out for the Super Leakproof Knix boxers along with the top. These boxers are powerful but safe. They have waterproof underwear that can absorb up to nine tampons. When you’re done, throw them in the washing machine.

A nightgown from a cult-favorite brand…

In case you were wondering, Eberjey is actually a legit brand. Made from the softer-than-cloud jersey material the brand is known for, this shirt comes in six colors. I wish I could stop your influence and say it’s not worth it, but it’s popular for a reason. I just found that you have to be very gentle when washing it. This is a great and luxurious choice for new moms or those who want a cooling option with coverage.

A classic pajama under $40…

Old Navy’s Sunday Nightwear line also reminds me of Eberjay at a fraction of the price. While the texture doesn’t hit the same, it comes pretty close. I love that they come in regular, tall and petite lengths, sizes up to 4X. They’re the best long-sleeve options for those who run cold, but they’re not stuffy or suffocating.

Basic pajama short…

A full pajama set might not be your thing, and if that’s the case, I’d go to Aerie for singlet pants and shorts. This flannel boxer comes in a sweet gingham print and is under $15. Call me crazy, but I’d leave the house in these (although I’d probably stretch my length).

A collection you should jump on soon…

When it comes to Skims, I find that I need to buy them quickly when the brand restocks; they tend to sell out quickly. After buying my first pair of pajamas from them a few years ago, I understand the craze. These are some of the thinnest pajamas I own, but they are not see through. These are the most unlimited options, especially if you’re looking for something you’ll forget to wear.

A unisex version you’ll both love…

These Jambys boxers are perfectly baggy and stretchy that you’ll want to buy for you and him. They look like a short house, so you can get away with running errands with an oversized coat. Think of them as a hybrid between shorts and athletic shorts.

A luxury set under $70…

This set of Little Sleepies checks almost every box: they’re made from breathable bamboo fabric, they’re comfortable without being bulky, and they’re easy to access for nursing. Our mothers, who receive its editors, talk about this (especially because they are the perfect PJ style you want to close again). Not to mention, what you get for the price is a solid deal.

Sweet shirt for kids…

This adorable Zippy from Little Sleepies is a tried and true option from our mommy editors who get it. You can choose from sizes up to 3T, and the material is intentionally stretchy to fit even longer. In addition, it is hypoallergenic and soothes the sensitive skin of children. It gets bonus points for feeling super soft.

A classic style for kids that never gets old…

Yes, I’m 28 years old and I remember my mom bought Hanna Andersson pajamas for me and my brother. If you have never bought this brand before, they are famous for themselves smooth styles which along with unique wearable prints cause little or no discomfort. There are opportunities for all ages, including adults.

The long dress we never want to take off…

When it comes to sleep, our team of editors turn to Cozy Earth for everything socks to bed. This long shirt is made from the brand’s best-selling bamboo material. It’s a simple extra layer to keep you warm in the morning while getting ready or getting ready for the day ahead. Since the fabric is very light, it also wears stylishly. PS: Use code THESKIMM for 20% off.

An Inexpensive Maternity Package…

When it comes to maternity clothes, our moms-to-be editors love luxe options that don’t cost a ton. This bundle from Old Navy comes with both a maternity dress and a nursing nightgown. The nightgown has a built-in hood as well as detachable clips on the straps so you can get ready with minimal effort.
