Dyson Supersonic™ Travel Dryer. This Dyson travel hair dryer has many features full size versionbut with a lower price tag (it’s still expensive, but relatively more affordable). When I opened the box, I was delighted to find that it comes with its own smoothing attachment, which is essential for frizz-prone wavy hair. After setting the timer, I found that my hair was completely dry in 15 minutes (personal best). Not only was my drying time shorter, but my hair was smoother and silkier than with other blow dryers. Plus, it’s incredibly light, so I could see keeping it in my carry-on. If you were toying with the idea of buying a Dyson, I would highly consider going for the travel version. And if you already have the older version, you can use the add-ons in this version. Bottom line: I love this little guy. ($299.99)

Conair Double Ceramic Frizz-Reducing Travel Dryer. I love that the padded handle allows it to collapse into a low profile form that easily slips into busy backpacks, totes or duffels without taking up valuable space. So it’s perfect for trips where amenities like Airbnbs, road trips, and cabins are overlooked. But it only has two heat/speed combination settings, so if you’re picky about the settings you use on fine or damaged hair, it doesn’t offer what you need. I also wish it came with a diffuser, but if you’re looking for an affordable, very compact dryer that gets the job done, this is for you. ($34.99)
