Bodybuilders often share their core workouts on social media and show off their heaviest reps of the day, but being a competitive flexer is a lifestyle that begins the moment an athlete wakes up. To show what goes into the first half of her day, British Nigerian bodybuilder Yinka Majolagbe, nicknamed ‘Majonmuscle’, recently shared her morning routine online.

What is Yinka Majolagbe’s morning routine?
Yinka Majolagbe starts her day with electrolytes and multivitamins, followed by a fasted cardio session on the StairMaster. He also does abs work, calf raises, imaging exercises and progress checks before eating a high-protein breakfast of rice pudding, whey protein, eggs and raspberries.
Electrolytes
The first thing Majolagbe eats in the morning is not protein, but a dose of electrolytes and lots of vitamins. “It’s just to hydrate myself and get all my vitamins in,” explains Majonmuscle, who wants to start the day off right and avoid cramping.
Fasting cardio exercises
Majolagbe’s morning routine doesn’t include heavy barbells as he stops by his local gym for a fasted cardio session. “I usually go to the gym,” adds competitor 212, who represents Great Britain. tends to walk as much as possible.
Majolagbe’s daily cardio session includes 30 minutes on the StairMaster. “Maybe even 40 depending on what Nathan says,” explains the Olympic contender, noting that he always follows his trainer Nathan Smart advice
While in the gym, the bodybuilder also uses the space and even lifts some calves to further stimulate the muscles taxed on the StairMaster.
Raspberry after repetition
Majonmuscle pauses and heads home from the gym to grab some raspberries after his rep. “They’re one of my favorites,” he says very productive fruit which contains a lot of nutrients such as vitamins C, K and E, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and even fiber for digestion.
Evaluation and progress
Back home, the Vegas bodybuilder steps in front of the camera to practice his stance. Majonmuscle also sends images to his trainer so that together they can set the standard for the days to come. “If it’s Friday, I’ll go to Nathan and he’ll let me know what to do for the week (ahead),” Majolagbe said.
What does Yinka Majolagbe eat for breakfast?
With his morning workout and posture, Majonmuscle fuels up with breakfast with 150 grams of rice pudding mix. He then adds 30 grams of whey protein and 3 eggs on the side to make a clean meal that contains plenty of carbs, protein and healthy fats. Then the big man adds a sweet flavor to his rice pudding, like carrot cake. “Absolutely delicious guys,” he confirms. Majonmuscle tosses his leftover raspberries into his bowl of rice pudding and proceeds to ruin his breakfast. “And these are normal guys,” concludes Majolagbe.
Fasted cardio is preferred by many bodybuilders because it’s a great way to kick-start fat loss without burning off the energy already consumed in the mornings. But Majolagbe’s routine also shows that winning trophies in the bodybuilding phase requires more than an extreme approach to pumping iron, and that hydration and nutrients are also important to the muscle-building mix.
